Abstract
Alfredo del Monaco´s output has been widely recognized nationally and internationally. His ample catalog reunite different tendencies of the avant garde of the late twentieth century, which he used to develop his own language, employing existing compositional resources, that allow him to explore fluently the field ability of electroacoustic music, electronic, fonetics, conceptual, among others. This sequence and combination of elements are present in his work for orchestra Tupac Amaru, which is the synthesis of all his chamber works. It was composed in 1977 commissioned by the First Festival of Contemporary Music in Maracaibo, Venezuela. In it, the composer paid tribute to the brave attitude of the last Inca in defense of his people
