Abstract
The present paper discusses the relationship, from its beginnings to the present, between ethnomusicology and anthropology. It shows the historical constraints of ethnomusicology, despite the work of several authors, in order to build discourses in which the musicological approaches integrate an anthropologic overview. Finally, it suggests the need to develop multidisciplinary perspectives with the purpose of analyze music in a globalized world.
