Abstract

This paper tries to bring the importance of relevance Elijah oratorio by Felix Mendelssohn in the Romantic symphonic repertoire coral and its connection with the creation coral GF Händel, first by analyzing the main characteristics of coral production, which left a inborrable in the English choral tradition, and secondly the close relationship between these characteristics and the creation of Elijah, key work production symphonic choral teacher in Hamburg.
