Ethics Statement
The Neuma journal adheres to COPE's Code of Conduct and Practice Guidelines (available at http://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines). In addition, for the detection of plagiarism and self-plagiarism, the journal uses similarity detection software, in order to identify any violation of the code of conduct. In the case of verifying any lack, the article will be immediately rejected for publication and will proceed as proposed in COPE.
Plagiarism is considered, even involuntarily, the action of copying, adapting, paraphrasing or using ideas, opinions, theories or any type of intellectual production of another author as if it were their own, omitting the data of the author who exposed it for the first time, published or not.
Similarly, it is considered self-plagiarism to submit articles that partially or fully reproduce publications or results of previous research, or in the process of simultaneous evaluation in another repository or journal, whether in online or printed media. Translations of own publications are considered self-plagiarism.
For this reason, the journal urges researchers to make original and totally unpublished contributions, which enrich knowledge in the field of music and music education. The journal guarantees total transparency in the arbitration system, as well as the academic suitability of the evaluators.
