Abstract

For school choirs, rehearsals should be a teaching-learning space. This is the approach of North American choral pedagogy, which uses a comprehensive model of music teaching through choral singing. The scholarship to date on rehearsal methods in Chile and the exhaustive study of choral pedagogy allow us to suggest that it is possible to transfer the North American model to Chile. However, it is essential to adapt this approach to the local reality, highlighting and strengthening the positive aspects currently present in Chile's choral practice.
