Abstract

According to the analytical style perspective of Leonard B. Meyer’s, this article studies the concept of form in Witold Lutoslawski‘s music. It analyses five essential concepts of study, which are: aesthetic neoclassicism, action and character concepts, idea of form as the opposition of centrifugal and centripetal forces, and binary form. In the introduction, it is briefly described the composer’s stylistic periods.
